Oh isn't having a broken heart an awful thing to go through ... ugh.
Maria in "The Sound of Music" said to Lisel to "wait a year, or two"
Ugh, its hard. Especially when you love every darling little thing about him and know he loves every dear thing about you too.
And faith is so important, there are messages from God in your article that are so appreciated and needed at this time. Trust is so important too.
Truly, what I read from you tonight will stay with me for a long long time.
Healing is from God, I'm so glad I read your notes tonight.
Hugs for you too, my heart feels good tonight.
Good night and God bless.

Thank you for this great deep article. There are much help to understand the new situation after a parting and to get her/ him own new way through own life with all the new possibilities.

I can not change my ex-girlfriend whit all her good and bad characteristics, but i can change my own opion about my own life.

The earth will rotate, with or without me, the earth will not ask me ;)

Wow, JEMi. What an amazing article you have composed! I felt as though you were speaking straight to my heart.

Four months ago, my girlfriend suddenly broke up with me after five amazing years. Even up to this day she could not give me a reason, so the "Why?" is still an open question for both of us. This makes things really much more difficult. Thus I hope we can answer it some day.

Ever since, so much has changed in my life that it feels already like a couple of years. Your advice goes hand in hand with many roads I have trod, and describes many hurdles I have encountered. Sometimes I overcame them right away, often with a lot of trial and error. Some are still awaiting me.

It seems as though the most painful experiences are also the most valuable ones. I keep going day by day, eager to learn and grow, and there is still so much ahead. The way you write about this really touches my heart. Some of your words shine just like brilliant gems reflecting the sunlight: "If you depend on someone else to make you feel worthwhile, you will always be disappointed because even angels have their days of rest." ... so true!

Thank you for this wonderful and empathetic article (and all others)! :-)

This is a truly beautiful and meaningful post. I don't have much to add because I think you have said almost all that needs to be said about this topic, but I hope others who are struggling with these issues will find this post. I think some people who haven't ever had a broken heart underestimate what it feels like - when it's bad, it really does feel like a survival situation!

@ Tom: How awesome of you to stop by!
Oh yes, I'm familiar with drag-you-through-the-mud heartbreak..
Spiritual work does wonders for the task of "getting over it" which feels virtually impossible when you're in those heels.. I mean shoes :-D
I think its beautiful that you still have so much love for her while moving on with your life. You're living proof that it can happen! Thank you for your comment Tom!

@ Kelly: Always a pleasure! The Why question is damning and has an iron grip hold for as long as you'll allow it. I agree - your step sis' words are beautiful and true. Now you've got a man who is full of love and just right for you. Now THAT is beautiful!

@ Alex: LOL thank you! I'm brainstorming the possibilities and learning how it is I put together and properly distribute it to the masses. I'll take those props and give them to you too blogging buddy - thanks for the words of encouragement. It means alot!

@ Apricot: Man I did dig deep to write this and it brought many memories back for me too! LOL thanks - duly noted! (and girl please, you won't have to stand in line!)

@ Natural: From your words alone I feel it... whoever he is that has mattered so much. This calls for a deep soulful "hmm" because I know just how you feel. And you must know that it really makes my day to know that I hit the nail on the head for you. Thanks for stopping by Natural (( hugs ))

@ Shamelle: Yes the why questions. Can't shake 'em if you tried. Not at first anyway. I'm glad you liked it :) thanks!

Why do we find it so hard to release when a relationship ends? :-) yes.. the why questions...

We get emotionally attached when we fall in love. Emotional attachment is wonderful when the relationship is in full bloom, but a great source of pain when the romance is over.

Great post.

JEMi, I really don't have any words to say, I do have tears to cry. You're mind blowing. I don't know what to say. Excellent post, great info. you always deliver and right on time. I have my bouts of tears over someone, but I'm able to move on and love again, even though no one will ever be him...shouldn't compare and funny thing is he's the one who can't let go now. we're friends, truly.

You brought back some old, forgotten about emotions for me. I haven't thought about this in a long time. It's both overwhelming & delightful to be reminded that I have come so far.

You write so incredibly well! & when you write your first book, I'll be standing in line, waiting for an autograph & a "meet & greet" with the author. :]

Well then I want to tap your shoulder again - an eBook would definately be a good idea JEMi!

Excellent writing as always, and I think you choose great topics to write about too.

Props from one blogger to another, you're doing great! :)
