There are so many different lifestyle decisions.I liked your summary, especially about keeping your eye on the prize.I find so many lack the vision and persistence necessary to succeed .. not talent, just keeping your eye on the ball, over and over.Boring, but it works. I work with teens, and try to teach them this one factor.

A Long Lifes last blog post..<a href="http://lifestyletrends.info/lifestyle/i-got-some-problems-regarding-my-son-16-and-the-thug-lifestyle-hes-puttin-out/" rel="nofollow">I got some problems regarding my son (16) and the thug lifestyle hes puttin out?</a>

I'm such an instinctual "problem-solver" myself - working, coaching (and posting) to turn that from a "head-trip" to a being present, taking action in the moment that leads to the goal, but not sitting stuck in the middle of the "problem."

Thank you for this simple, wonderful breakdown of all you're learning, and look forward to reading more of your journey.

[...] Study and learn from the mistakes others have made. – “By reading about those I aspire to be like, not only do I get to witness the unique dealings of THEIR struggles, I can skip some of the hard knock lessons by learning from steps already taken in someone else’s heels. It’s a real advantage when you have serious intent on getting somewhere. Learn from others and utilize the wisdom harvested over time to spare yourself some grief and gain an idea of what to do.” – via InMyHeels [...]

Hey JEMi

As a coach, let me just say that Tim is turning out to be a great coach for you. The fit between coach and client probably matters more than anything else. You two seem to fit well together. Excellent!

And, to back-up Tim, there is no right way to meditate. Everyone gets so uptight on "the perfect way to meditate," people publish lots of blog posts about it, but in the end, you do what feels right to you.

Be well...... Tom

Hi Jemi,
Glad you're back and feeling better!

I first embraced the idea of "baby steps" when I discovered flylady (flylady.net) a few years ago. I too tend to get into "all or nothing" thinking. In fact I even wrote a post about it a while back.

I'm still working on remembering to break things down into manageable pieces instead of getting overwhelmed by anxiety and paralysis.

Nice post, thank you!

This was a great post, I really needed and enjoyed it... along with all the other ones :)

I would really love to make meditation a regular thing, it's so hard for me. If it's not one thing it's another... I'm falling asleep or I can't stop thinking. Morning pages are also very helpful. First think when you get up in the morning, write 3 pages (8 1/2 x 11). Just drain your brain, whatever comes to mind, doesn't have to be good or make sense. It clears you mind and will eventually start to reveal things to you!

Hi Jemi: I'm always trying to jump from A to Z. The key is definitely to just take it one step at a time. I also think meditation is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I use the Silva Life System, but anything you do to quiet your inner chatter should help.

I just have to say the warm welcome back is so deeply appreciated! This was a very personal piece for me .. you know - showing your wounds isn't always the easiest thing to do.

I'm so glad I have such amazing readers - thank you all! :)
